binding mechanisms on paper

60×90 cm

for two years I kept this pile of document binding mechanisms waiting for something to encourage me to use them. my day job as a psychologist involves a lot of paperwork and this past couple of years working with doctors at a sexual health center I learned a lot about the human body. this fleshy thing we carry around and liv in everyday. combining paperwork elements and these polarities in my work I created six collages that explore the parts of the body and the science behind it. the process was picking and chosing between colors and shapesof the elements that trigger associations and arranging them in different compositions. collages were then pasted on grey cardboard with their names stamped.
