approximately 6000 paper puzzle pieces (origami fortune tellers) were modelled out of 5×5 cm paper squares and glued onto a human torso figure shaped wire and cardboard base, suspended on two 50 cm steel metal cords 1.5 m above ground. the figures are stripped of any kind of identity to build on the universal nature of the action of hugging. sharp edges and tips of the fortune puzzles give a threatening nature and contrasts it with the physical proximity of the two torsos. does it comfort or does it hurt?
